Libraries, books covers, and microscript

Librarian workout video… very old school and fun
I like that it’s nerdy librarians trying to be cute and funny. And they are cute and funny. They really are. Very endearing.

Artist Donald Judd’s virtual library
So this guy has a ton of books in his own personal library and he took pictures of it and tagged them all and put it all in this online thing. I don’t know why but I think it’s really fun to explore—maybe it’s just the literary voyeur in me.

Author Robert Walser’s microscript
Fascinating… Admittedly, I’ve never heard of Walser until now but he sounds, well, fascinating. He was a modernist and he wrote in super tiny script. Sometimes he even wrote his novels this way. As he got older he made it smaller and smaller and it got so small that people thought it was some kind of secret “uncrackable private code.”  There’s something I find incredibly beautiful about this but I’m not sure what it is. It seems like a very intimate way to write.
